IST’s thin film conductivity sensor is ideal for measuring the concentration of ions in an electrolyte. The sensor consists of two current electrodes, two measuring electrodes, and a platinum RTD temperature sensor (class B, 100/1000 ohm). The conductivity of an electrolyte is determined by measuring the voltage drop between two current electrodes, and compensating for the temperature of the electrolyte. The operating temperature range of the sensor is 0°C to +90°C, and its measurement range is ~5μS/cm to ~20mS/cm. It has direct applications in determining water quality.
